Many of you have messaged me with something like, “If you are so rich, why don’t you post up some pictures of your cool shit?” My response generally centers around protecting my identity – but that is not very satisfying for either party. This post is the first in my search to find a comfortable middle ground. I’ve attached a couple of blurry photographs (each accompanied with a comment) representing two recent decadent displays of wealth.


1. $5000 Superbowl Bet

If the Saints win on Sunday, my $5000 becomes $13750. I did a substantial amount of research before placing this bet and I feel it brings a positive expected value. The AFC playoffs were miserable and I think the Saints have a great shot at winning the game. I’m able to make this bet thanks to a massive profit off the recent BRK.B split and a very good Conference Championship round of betting.

2. September 9, 1789 Gazette of the United States

If you look the Wikipedia page for the newspaper, you can see the full text of the front page. If you look carefully at the creases on the Wikipedia page and the creases in the photo below, you should be able to tell that mine is of a slightly higher grade. My phone’s flash combined with the gross lighting employed by the dealer make my copy look far more “yellow” than it is in reality. My phone is also responsible for the shitty blur.

You may have noticed that I’m a extremely sensitive about this item. Despite it being absurdly valuable (it features much of the debate over the original Judiciary Act), I probably overpaid.
